Complete guide — step-by-step walkthrough of every feature
🚀 Getting Started — First-time user guide
1
Create an Account or Sign In
When you open the app, the Login screen appears first. Sign in instantly with your Google account, or register using your email address and a password. If you register with email, check your inbox and verify your email before continuing.
2
Your Home Dashboard
After login you land on the Home screen. It shows a stats strip (tests taken, accuracy, current streak), quick-action cards for every major feature, and a list of your recent tests.
The top navigation tabs give you access to every section: Home · Exam Saved · Q-Bank · Practice · Mistakes · Revision · Bookmarks · Typing · Analytics · Schedule · Leaderboard.
3
Set Your Daily Goals
Scroll down on the Home screen to find the Daily Goal cards. Tap each card to set your daily targets — how many questions to attempt, how many mock tests to take, how many PYQ sets to complete, and so on. The app tracks your progress against these goals every single day.
4
Build Your Question Bank First
Go to the Q-Bank tab and add your subjects, chapters, and questions. Without questions in the bank, practice sessions, tests, and revision queues will have nothing to work with. This is always the first step.
5
Create and Attempt Your First Test
Click + Create Test on the Home screen, choose the exam type, subjects, time limit, and question count, then start the test. After submitting, a detailed result screen will show your score, accuracy, and a full question-by-question review.
💡 Pro Tip: Always set up your Question Bank before anything else, then try Practice and Tests. The Analytics tab becomes truly meaningful once you have results from at least 5 tests.
Quick Help — How to get started in 5 steps
Open the app and sign in with Google or your email on the Login screen.
On the Home screen, scroll down and tap the Daily Goal cards to set your daily study targets.
Go to Q-Bank → + Subject, create a subject (e.g. "Maths"), then add a chapter inside it.
Inside that chapter, tap ➕ Add Questions and fill in your first question with four options and the correct answer.
Return to Home, tap Create Test, configure your settings, and attempt your very first mock test.

📊 Analytics — A full X-ray of your performance
1
Overview Tab
See your total tests completed, total questions attempted, overall accuracy, best score, and current streak at a glance. The Score Trend Chart plots your performance across recent tests so you can see whether you are improving. Subject-wise accuracy bars show the percentage you are getting right in each subject.
2
SWOT Analysis
The app automatically analyses your test data to identify four key areas: Strengths — subjects where your accuracy is 70% or above. Weaknesses — subjects with consistently low accuracy that need more work. Opportunities — topics with high potential but low number of attempts so far. Threats — topics where your answering speed is consistently slow.
3
Time Analysis
This section shows the average time you spent per question broken down by topic. Use this to identify subjects where your speed is slowest and target them with extra timed practice to bring your pace up before the exam.
4
Attempts History
Every test you have ever taken is recorded here with its score, accuracy, time taken, and date. Click any entry in the list to open the full review of that test, including every question, your chosen answer, the correct answer, and the written solution.
💡 Analytics becomes most insightful once you have results from 5 or more tests. Complete your Q-Bank setup and run a few tests first to generate enough data for meaningful patterns to emerge.
Quick Help — How to read and act on your Analytics
Go to the Analytics tab from the top navigation bar.
Start with the Overview tab — check your overall accuracy and whether your score trend is going up or down.
Open the SWOT tab and note your weakest subjects. These are the ones to target in your next practice sessions.
Open the Time Analysis tab and identify topics where you are consistently spending too much time per question.
Use the Attempts History tab to revisit any past test and study its full solution review in detail.
🧠 Smart Revision — Spaced Repetition System
📌
How Does It Work?
Smart Revision uses Spaced Repetition — a scientifically proven learning method where questions are shown to you again just before you are likely to forget them. Questions you get wrong come back sooner. Questions you get right are scheduled further into the future. Over time, this builds long-term retention with far less study time than re-reading notes.
1
Checking Your Due Questions
When questions are scheduled for today, a 🧠 X due pill appears on the Home screen. Go to the Smart Revision tab and click Start Revision. Only the questions that are due for review today will be included in the session — the system does the scheduling automatically.
2
Rating Your Recall After Each Question
After every question, four rating buttons appear. Tap the one that honestly describes how well you remembered: Again — Did not remember it at all. Comes back very soon. Hard — Recalled with significant effort. Comes back in a short interval. Good — Recalled correctly with some effort. Scheduled for a moderate interval. Easy — Recalled perfectly with no effort. Scheduled for a much longer interval.
3
How Questions Enter the Revision Queue
Three sources automatically feed the Smart Revision queue: wrong answers saved in your Mistake Notebook, questions you have Bookmarked, and any question you manually tag using the Add to Revision option inside Q-Bank.
💡 Do a short revision session every day — 15 to 20 questions is enough to stay on top of the queue. You do not need to clear everything at once. Daily consistency makes spaced repetition work far better than occasional marathon sessions.
Quick Help — How to use Smart Revision every day
On the Home screen, look for the 🧠 X due pill that tells you how many questions need review today.
Go to the Smart Revision tab and click Start Revision to begin today's session.
Answer each question, then tap Again / Hard / Good / Easy to rate how well you remembered it. Be honest — this is what drives the scheduling algorithm.
Complete the session. The app will automatically schedule every question for its next optimal review date.
To add a specific question manually, open it in Q-Bank and tap Add to Revision.
📕 Mistake Notebook — Your smart error register
📌
What Is the Mistake Notebook?
Every time you answer a question incorrectly — whether in a test or a practice session — it is automatically saved to the Mistake Notebook. This gives you a single, organised place to study all your weak points without having to track errors yourself manually.
1
Browsing Your Mistakes
Use the subject and chapter filter in the sidebar to narrow down your mistake list to one specific area. Each mistake card shows the full question text, the answer you selected incorrectly, the correct answer, and the complete written solution — so you can understand exactly where your reasoning went wrong.
2
Practising Your Mistakes
Click the Practice Mistakes button to launch a dedicated practice session that contains only your previously incorrect questions. This is the most efficient way to systematically target and eliminate your weaknesses rather than practising questions you already know.
3
Adding Personal Notes to a Mistake
Every mistake card has a 📝 Note button. Tap it to write your own note alongside the question — for example, "remember this formula" or "re-read the concept in Chapter 4". Notes are saved permanently and appear every time you view that mistake card.
💡 The Mistake Notebook and Smart Revision work as a powerful pair. Every wrong answer goes into both systems simultaneously — the Notebook lets you study the solution right now, while Smart Revision schedules it to come back at the optimal time later.
Quick Help — How to use the Mistake Notebook effectively
Go to the 📕 Mistakes tab from the top navigation bar.
Use the subject and chapter filter on the left to focus on one weak area at a time.
Read each mistake card carefully — understand the correct answer and the full written solution before moving on.
Tap the 📝 Note button on any card to write a personal reminder about the concept or formula involved.
When you feel ready, click Practice Mistakes to attempt all your mistake questions again in a dedicated session and check how much you have improved.
⌨ Typing Test — SSC and Railway typing skill preparation
📌
Who Is This Feature For?
The Typing Test is designed for aspirants of SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, RRB Group D, and any other government exam that includes a typing skill test as part of the selection process. The app measures your Words Per Minute (WPM) and accuracy in real time during every session.
1
Starting a Typing Test
Go to the ⌨ Typing tab from the top navigation. Select your language — English or Hindi — and choose the test duration: 1, 2, 3, or 5 minutes. A passage will appear on screen. Begin typing as soon as you are ready. Letters you type incorrectly are highlighted in red immediately so you can see your errors in real time.
2
Reading Your Results
When the timer ends, your result card displays four key metrics: Gross WPM, Net WPM, Accuracy percentage, and total Errors. Track these numbers over multiple sessions to see your improvement. For SSC exams, the standard target is 35 WPM or above with at least 80% accuracy.
💡 Practise typing for 10 to 15 minutes every day leading up to your exam. The formula the exam board uses is: Net WPM = Gross WPM minus (Errors multiplied by 2). Always focus on accuracy first — clean, error-free typing naturally leads to faster speed over time.
Quick Help — How to run a typing practice test
Go to the ⌨ Typing tab from the top navigation bar.
Select your language: English or Hindi.
Choose a test duration: 1, 2, 3, or 5 minutes depending on how much time you have.
Click Start and begin typing the passage displayed on screen. Avoid pressing Backspace repeatedly — focus on pressing the right key the first time.
When time is up, note your Net WPM and Accuracy. Identify whether errors or speed is your bigger problem, and focus your next session accordingly.
Repeat daily to build consistent improvement. Track your WPM trend over time to measure progress.
📅 Study Schedule — Plan and track your study time
1
What Is the Study Schedule?
The Study Schedule is a calendar-based planner where you design your study day by day. Each session you create includes a subject, start time, duration, and a specific goal. It keeps you organised and ensures you cover all the topics you need to cover before your exam date.
2
Adding a Study Session
Tap any date on the calendar to select it, then click + Add Session. Choose the session type from these options: StudyMock TestPYQ PracticeBreak. Then fill in the subject, start time, duration in minutes, and a short goal description for that session.
3
Marking Sessions as Complete
After you finish a session in real life, come back to the app and tap the tick mark (✓) on its card to mark it as done. The card turns green. The Weekly Progress bars in the right panel update automatically to show you how much of your planned schedule you have completed for the current week.
4
Auto Study Plan Generator
Click the 📅 Plan button at the top of the Home screen. Enter your exam date and the number of hours you can realistically study each day. The app will automatically generate a complete, day-by-day study plan that covers all your subjects in your Q-Bank within your available timeframe.
💡 Calendar dot guide: a yellow dot on a date means you have a session planned for that day. A green dot means that session has been marked as complete. Use the week strip at the top to quickly check today's schedule without scrolling through the full calendar.
Quick Help — How to plan and track your study schedule
Go to the 📅 Schedule tab from the top navigation bar.
Tap on any date in the calendar to select it.
Click + Add Session and choose the session type (Study, Mock Test, PYQ Practice, or Break).
Fill in the subject, start time, and duration, write a brief goal, then save the session.
After completing that study session in real life, come back and tap the ✓ tick on the card to mark it done.
For an automatically generated plan, tap the 📅 Plan button on the Home screen, enter your exam date and daily hours, and let the app build your full schedule.
🎯 Smart Test Creator — Custom mock test builder
📌
What Is the Smart Test Creator?
The Smart Test Creator is an advanced tool that lets you design a fully customised mock test from scratch. You control every single setting — which subjects to include, the difficulty distribution, whether negative marking is on, the marks per question, and the total time limit. Access it from the side navigation or the hamburger menu: look for 🎯 Smart Test Creator.
1
Step 1 — Exam Information
Enter a descriptive name for your test (for example: "SSC CGL Tier 1 Mock #5"), choose the exam type that best matches your target, and set the total test duration in minutes (for example: 60). This name will appear on the result screen and in your test history list.
2
Step 2 — Negative Marking and Difficulty
Toggle negative marking on or off. Set the marks awarded per correct answer and the penalty deducted per wrong answer. You can also set the difficulty ratio manually — for example, 50% Easy, 30% Medium, and 20% Hard — or allow the system to set it automatically based on your current AI Adaptive Level.
3
Step 3 — Subjects and Question Count
For each subject and chapter available in your Q-Bank, set exactly how many questions you want included in the test. A live running total updates as you make each selection. Only subjects that already exist in your Q-Bank are shown here.
4
Step 4 — Options and Launch
Toggle question shuffling on or off. The Test Preview panel on the right shows a full summary — total questions, total time, marks per correct answer, difficulty breakdown percentages, and the subjects included. When everything looks right, click 🚀 Launch Test to begin immediately.
📋
Test History
Below the creator form, a history list shows all your previously created Smart Tests with their name, score, and date. Click any entry to open the full detailed review of that specific test without needing to search for it elsewhere.
💡 The biggest advantage of Smart Test Creator is being able to simulate real SSC or RRB exam conditions — with correct negative marking, realistic timing, and your own questions. Use it two to three times a week for the most authentic exam practice experience.
Quick Help — How to build and launch a Smart Test
Open the hamburger menu (top-left icon) and tap 🎯 Smart Test Creator from the side navigation.
In Step 1, enter a test name and set the total time limit in minutes.
In Step 2, configure negative marking (marks per correct / penalty per wrong) and set your preferred difficulty ratio.
In Step 3, select each subject from your Q-Bank and set the number of questions you want from each.
In Step 4, check the Test Preview summary on the right to confirm all settings are correct, then click 🚀 Launch Test.
After completing the test, find it in the Test History section at the bottom of the Smart Test Creator page for future review.
⚡ AI Adaptive Level — Your intelligent performance ranking
📌
What Is the Adaptive Level System?
After every test and practice session you complete, ExamEdge Pro automatically analyses your performance and assigns you an Adaptive Level. This level ranges from Beginner all the way up to Master and beyond into legendary ranks. It is calculated from four factors: your accuracy rate, your answering speed, your daily streak, and your accumulated XP. Access it from the side navigation under ⚡ Adaptive Level.
1
How Does Your Level Increase?
You earn XP after every completed test or practice session. The XP calculation is based on four factors added together: accuracy score + speed bonus + question count bonus + current level multiplier. Higher accuracy combined with faster answering earns significantly more XP. Maintaining a daily practice streak also activates an XP multiplier — the longer your unbroken streak, the larger the bonus you receive on every session.
2
The Level Progression Stages
The progression ladder runs as follows: 🥉 Beginner → 🥈 Elementary → 🥇 Intermediate → ⭐ Advanced → 💎 Expert → 👑 Master — with additional legendary ranks beyond Master reserved for the highest performers. Each new level unlocks a personalised motivational message, and the Smart Test Creator automatically adjusts the difficulty of questions it selects for you to match your current level.
3
What the Level Screen Shows You
Your current level badge is displayed prominently at the top. Below it is an XP progress bar that shows exactly how much XP you need to reach the next level. You can also see your current streak count, total tests completed, and a log of your recent XP gains. Scroll down to the Level Tips section for personalised suggestions on the fastest ways to earn more XP and level up.
💡 Because the Smart Test Creator reads your current Adaptive Level and sets difficulty accordingly, levelling up has a direct, tangible effect: you start receiving proportionally more Hard questions in your tests. This keeps your preparation challenging and realistic as you improve.
Quick Help — How to check and grow your Adaptive Level
Open the side navigation (hamburger menu, top-left) and tap ⚡ Adaptive Level.
Check your current level badge and read the XP progress bar to see how far you are from the next level.
Complete tests and practice sessions regularly — every completed session awards you XP regardless of your score.
Maintain a daily practice streak without breaking it. This activates an XP multiplier that significantly speeds up your level progression.
Scroll down to read the Level Tips section — it tells you the specific actions that award the most XP at your current level.
🏆 Leaderboard & 🎖 Milestones — Competition and achievements
🏆
Leaderboard — See How You Rank Against Others

1
How to Earn Leaderboard Points
Points accumulate from four main activities: completing any test, achieving 80% or higher accuracy in a session, maintaining your daily practice streak, and completing your daily goals. Consistent test-taking with high accuracy is the fastest path to climbing the rankings. All points sync in real time when you are logged in to your account.
🎖
Milestones and Achievements — Your Badge Collection
Open the 🎖 Milestones screen from the side navigation to view your complete achievement journey. Badges are awarded when you reach specific accomplishments — such as completing your very first test, attempting 100 questions in total, maintaining a 7-day streak, achieving 90% or above accuracy in a session, and many others. Every badge you unlock also grants bonus XP that counts toward your Adaptive Level.
2
What the Milestone Screen Shows You
At the very top is your Overall XP bar showing your current rank title and how much XP separates you from the next rank up. Below that, the Nearest Milestones section tells you exactly which badge to aim for next and what action you need to take to unlock it. Badges you have already unlocked are highlighted with a green glow to distinguish them from locked ones.
3
The Rank Title System
Based on your total accumulated XP, you are assigned an official Rank Title that progresses through the following stages: Beginner, Scholar, Achiever, Champion, Topper, Legend, and beyond. Your rank title is displayed on the Leaderboard next to your name and on your profile. Each rank also unlocks a unique motivational quote personalised to that achievement level.
💡 Make it a habit to check the Milestones screen and ask yourself: "What is the next badge I can realistically unlock this week?" Having a concrete short-term target makes daily study far more motivating. Setting a personal goal of reaching the top 10 on the Leaderboard gives you something meaningful to work toward every session.
